Quality

MultiPlan invests heavily in delivering network quality. Our national primary PPO, the PHCS Network, is the only national independent PPO to be recognized by two leading accreditation organizations whose shared mission is to improve health care quality. Both of these organizations continue to endorse the PHCS Network in key areas, giving our clients and their health plan participants confidence that their primary PPO network meets, and often surpasses, the most rigorous quality standards in the industry for:

  • Provider credentialing and recredentialing
  • Quality improvement
  • Privacy and confidentiality
  • Network management

URAC (www.urac.org)
URAC, also known as the American Accreditation HealthCare Commission, is a 501(c)(3) (non-profit) charitable organization founded in 1990 to establish standards for the health care industry. Since 2001, the PHCS Network has maintained full accreditation, evaluated against URAC's Health Network and Credentialing quality benchmarks.

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) (www.ncqa.org)
NCQA is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to evaluate and report on the quality of the nation's managed care organizations. Since 2001, the PHCS Network has upheld its certification with NCQA for Credentialing and Recredentialing.
